Keeping Cayman’s maritime heritage alive.
Discover the Cayman Catboat Club Association and the Cayman Maritime Heritage Foundation — two organisations working to preserve, share and strengthen Cayman’s connection with the sea.
Cayman Catboat Club
Keeping the Cayman catboat tradition alive through sailing, restoration, racing and education.
The Cayman Catboat Club brings people together to care for traditional catboats, share practical knowledge and introduce new generations to one of the most recognisable parts of Cayman’s maritime heritage.
From sailing and racing to restoration work, presentations and community events, the Club helps keep the tradition active rather than simply remembered.
Cayman Maritime Heritage Foundation
Researching, preserving and sharing the stories of Cayman’s life at sea.
The Cayman Maritime Heritage Foundation works to preserve the stories, vessels, skills, photographs, documents and memories that form part of Cayman’s maritime history.
Its work brings together historical research, family knowledge, archival material, oral history and public education to help build a fuller record for future generations.
